Never Satisfied!

Howdy folks! yesterday in hot sunny day, jump-start my bike after one month lay down below my garage... 7 times pressing, alive and kicking my foot pad ride to Mail workshops at rawang. I wanna fix my bike. I've got 3 reasons: Fix my wiring, change my rear hub bearing and ask advice Mail and Man Macha about my rear fender so called 'big jim slim'. From these 3 reasons only one solved! Finally my front light get fixed. All because one of the wire inside the light switch is tear off and just need to solder back and walla! all lights is functions!

I can't change my rear hub bearing (that's why when I ride I feel my rear wheel a bit shaky) it's because I wrongly purchase a bearing. It's same size but for these XV, you need the bearing with a caps! No caps mean all the grease will split out when getting hot and it could bring sands inside the shaft and the last thing you should do call a lorry! I don't want that happen to me. So as usual, Ayie is best buddy to asking outsourcing some parts. Got some information about that bearing, i'll get this saturday!

And I show my 'big jim slim' fender to Mail. It just piece of scrap metal! :) I got this used rear fender XV that has been modified. I went to grill shop and I ask them to cut and welding back all the hole and I thought maybe Mail can give me some advice... it can be done but it might cost me a bomb just to fit in! (Probably cut my frame again). I bring back my RM20 cost of cutting and welding big jim slim and do research about what Mail thought me. "That fender must played together with suspensions if not, it would scratch my tire. Either the frame convert to hard-tail style means rigid and you need to add on spring seat.... that would cost a money and time concern! And I can't afford both!

So I browse the motorcycles blog and I found some great design rear fender can inspire me. Anyone out there feel free to give me some advice about my upcoming rear fender projects. NEVER SATISFIED about my bike!

I want to do something like these... from top view, I can see how bolts and nuts
placing.

From side view, I assume the rear fender just bolts at the frame!

Or maybe this kind of rear fender.

Or this type of design with a bracket place at the suspensions nuts. There's
a bit gap between the tire and the fender. I wont scratch?

Love this kind of short and clean fender!

Looks like I don't have to cut more my rear framed! This bike is the proof!

But the questions are how to do it? I got no background knowledge about engineering, never play with torch and weld, never cut any metals... I'm just a round neck workers! Deep far from my heart, tells me something else...
